Run Forrest Run!
OH MY GOD, this clock applies to me down to the day (I think) and it couldn’t be ticking down any sooner.
Who did this? I LOVE IT! Thank you, thank you, thank you. The last couple of months have been such a mindf-ck, and I’ve struggled with a depression that’s transformed into different phases. Right now, I’m in my cheery but living in hell depression. It’s very strange how I act – smiling, saying thank you, apologizing to people for no reason, and 90% of the time getting blank stares and emotionless responses. I’m not needy, but I’ve never experienced the dull ache of Philly. The energy is too negative and self-centered for me not to make an effort to connect with a few strangers during my day. This site is the best place to connect with strangers. Philly sucks! Hahaa… YEZZZ SUCKSASSSS. 180 days and 10 minutes …
You are the definition of a pompous, stuck up, thinks the world revolves around you, snob from New York. Philly is filled with real people, some nice, some assholes (omg I cursed I hope you don’t cry.) I’m sorry it’s not filled with beautiful actors and models that are up to your standards. Maybe your not used to being around real working class people, but I’m sorry to say that’s most of America. I least I know I could live in a working class area of NY and get along fine. If your any real representation of people from SOHO I guess I’ll stay away from you snoody little gentrified neighborhood, because I wouldn’t be good enough. I’m from Philly and your a bitch
@Krista congrats on getting out of here soon! I’ll be leaving as well as soon as my company transfers me out of this hellhole. It can’t happen soon enough!
@nick you are the definition of a loser.
Define real people. Is a person real only if he doesn’t give a shit about anyone but himself? If he walks around with a chip on his shoulder thinking he’s Rocky?
I’m not from Philly and you’re just another Philly idiot.
You did make me cry, Nick.
Well, I have met some nice people on this site – thanks for your patience and kindness, hahaha…. I’ve met some sweet people from Philly too, but they are not Philly to me. To me, Philly is the cold, rude, cliquesh and painfuly reserved, oppressive type personality that I encounter 20x per day, and then you have people who have no class and act like you’re from Mars because you do. I mean, really, I’m not judging. I’ve been judged. I just have days that I hate this place with an intense passion, like I wish there was an edge to jump off of and land in California. I went to Cali a couple of weeks ago. There was this feeling that anything was possible, and that was the desert. It’s fricken hilarious that I feel this way in Philly. It’s not meeeeeeeeeee. HAHAHAHA
I’m so glad my rant when I was drunk the other night did not get on the site. I was depressed over the children that have been hurt by Jerry Sandusky. I’m really angry at a whole culture that would allow this to happen. Not one person I work with has actually raised the topic. They just walk around like it doesn’t exist. An arrogant, stoic, spinless culture. I cannot wait to leave.
Best news I have heard all day. There’s an end for you in this backward City, so unfriendly that offers nothing. No culture, sophistication or even convenience.
Run as fast as you can……………..
Hey nick! You are a perfect example of a classless, discourteous, uncivil, Philthadelphian who wouldn’t recognize manners if it were hand delivered to you. I can introduce you to many working class folk in Philly who are absolutely welcoming to visitors. HOWEVER, they are the exception! Most Killadelphians are rude, obnoxious, foul-mouthed and fat with no fashion sense at all. The tude when crossing the street blocking traffic while jay walking; the loud cell phone conversations; the cutting in line; the list goes on.
I have lived in other US cities and all I have to say is that for the 5th largest city in the US, Philly’s citizens, and the whole city vibe in general (bad dress, corrupt city officials, no street cleaning, waiters who won’t serve you half an hour before closing, etc.), makes it for a horrible place to be if you are new. No wonder students stay in Boston after graduation, buy Philly has a “Brain Drain.”
Now let’s chat about The Art of the Steal. Only in Philly would the politicians rally for their personal self interests. What a scumbag way of honoring Barnes wishes to keep his art in his home and to use it as a school. Come on man. With few exceptions, in general, Philly and its inhabitants are brutal examples of world citizens.
And you exemplify that!
Poor Nick, his view is so myopic that he can’t see the forest for the trees. Sorry Nick your city sucks. It’s backward, rude, dirty, racist and it doesn’t even have a public transportation system. You really can’t call what Philly offers a public transportation system. You guys are too inbreed. Get out and see the world. You might be surprised to see what’s out there.
